Description
A traditional French paste tomato, Prune Noire is prized for its elongated, plum-shaped fruits and its rich, dark colouring. The deep purple to mahogany flesh is dense and full-flavoured, making this variety especially well suited to sauces and preserving.
Less watery than many tomatoes, it produces thick, aromatic sauces with an old-fashioned depth of flavour.
