Description

A well-known and reliable paste tomato, Rio Grande is valued for its heavy yields of elongated, plum-shaped fruits and its adaptability to warmer growing conditions. Originally selected for commercial sauce production, it performs just as well in the home garden.

The fruits are firm, deep red and fleshy, with relatively low juice content, making this variety particularly suitable for cooking and preserving.
