• Raphanus sativus var. longipinnatus — traditional Japanese daikon radish producing long, smooth white roots up to 30–40 cm in length

• Mild, sweet flavour with crisp, juicy texture — perfect for salads, stir-fries, and pickling

• Reliable and vigorous, giving high yields even in cooler conditions

• Best harvested young for tender, delicate roots, or allowed to mature for large winter storage radishes

• Excellent for fermenting or making traditional tsukemono pickles

• Prefers loose, deep soil to allow roots to grow straight and smooth
