An unusual and traditional melon, Piel de Sapo (meaning “toad skin”) is named for its distinctive mottled green rind. Producing large, oval fruits with crisp, sweet pale flesh, this variety is prized for its refreshing flavour and excellent keeping qualities.
Originally grown in southern Europe, it performs well in warm, sheltered conditions.
